Los leones eran al mismo tiempo, presentes e invisibles, al

mismo tiempo, visibles e invisibles.

Se oía el rumor de la leche que robaban, el clamor de la miel

y la carne que cortaban.

Llevaron hacia afuera a la abuela oscura, la que tenía una

guía de rositas alrededor del corazón.

Y la comieron fríamente. Como en un simulacro.

Y -como si hubiese sido un simulacro!- ella tornó a la

casa y dijo: -Los leones rondaron siempre. Están delante

de los paraísos y el rosal. Dijo: -Los leones están acá.

Os leões eram, ao mesmo tempo, presentes e invisíveis,

ao mesmo tempo, visíveis e invisíveis

Se escutava o rumor do leite que roubavam, o clamor do mel e da carne que cortavam.

Levaram para fora a avó obscura, a que tinha uma guia de rosinhas ao redor do coração

E comeram-na friamente. Como se fosse um simulacro.

E – como se houvesse sido um simulacro – ela voltou para a casa e disse,

- Os leões rondam sempre. Estão na frente das árvores o do roseiral. Disse,

- Os leões estão aqui.
